Summer Reading
How will you begin your BYU experience? This summer, join over five thousand new students in a BYU academic tradition: the BYU Summer Reading program! This year we'll all be reading Learning in the Light of Faith, edited by President Henry B. Eyring.
Learning in the Light of Faith is a collection of lectures that were given to students in the BYU Honors program. President Eyring, noted that these lectures help to paint “a portrait of the disciple-scholar, students or scholars who seek to prepare to serve God through their studies.” As you read, you’ll find insights that will help you as you begin your journey toward disciple-scholarship. Remember that your first semester at BYU will be an important time for you to cultivate deep spiritual and academic roots, and Learning in the Light of Faith will help you develop the habits you need to hit the ground running at BYU.
